SEQUENCING BATCH REACTOR

SINGLE-TANK WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

What is an SBR?

A Sequencing Batch Reactor is an activated sludge system that processes wastewater in controlled batch cycles. Unlike continuous-flow systems, the SBR alternates between treatment phases in a single tank.

Operation Phases

Key Advantages

  • Single-tank compact design
  • Air-aspirating aeration (no blower required)
  • Excellent nitrification and denitrification
  • Flexible operation for variable loads
  • Low energy consumption
